Scott T. Gusweiler is the Judge of the Brown County Court of Common Pleas General and Domestic Relations Divisions. Prior to beginning his term in February 2009, Judge Gusweiler practiced law in Brown County for 19 years. He was also a Mayor’s Court Magistrate for the following Ohio towns and villages: Georgetown, Hamersville, Russellville, and Ripley. Judge Gusweiler has been the Legal Advisor for the Fayetteville-Perry High School Mock Trial Program since 1991.

Judge Gusweiler is a graduate of Purcell Marion High School. He received a B.A. in History at Xavier University. Judge Gusweiler received his Juris Doctor Degree in 1989 from Salmon P. Chase College of Law, Northern Kentucky University. During law school, Judge Gusweiler served as Hamilton County, Ohio Common Pleas Court Constable for Judge Ralph Winkler.

Judge Gusweiler is a member of the Brown County Bar Association, Clermont County Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He is a member of the Lions Club, Mt. Orab, Ohio; Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons; New Harmony Lodge, Mt. Orab, Ohio; Knights of Columbus, Ripley, Ohio; and the Kiwanis Club, Russellville, Ohio; and a member of the Brown County Chamber of Commerce.

Currently, Judge Gusweiler is a Trustee of the Ohio Common Pleas Judges Association; a Member/Presenter of the Curriculum Committees for education of the Ohio Common Pleas Judges; and a member of the Ohio Common Pleas Judges Association/Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction Think Tank.
